Man now faces charges of cat torture in Bullitt

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - Already facing charges in Jefferson County, a Bullitt County man has now been indicted on similar allegations in his home county.

Alex D. Phelps has been indicted on five felony counts of torture of a cat.

Each charge is a Class D felony, punishable by 1-5 years in prison.

According to the indictment, Phelps allegedly tortured cats on five different occasions during the months of November and December 2010.
