Math added to reading as mission for tutors

  Shifting in response to the increase Bullitt County Public School emphasis on early mathematical literacy, Community Partners for Learning (CPL) has expanded its scope.

Formerly known as Community Partners for Reading (CPR), volunteers were trained to spend 30 minutes a week listening and assisting students who struggled in reading.

According to AmericaCorp Vista Volunteer Robin Ferrel, CPL is now offering training in basic math skills for volunteers to help students.
