Luke Matheny of Boy Scout Troop 687 selected Ridgway Memorial Library for his Eagle Scout Project.

The project involved construction of an outdoor patio and sidewalk behind the library.

The area will serve as an outdoor sitting area. The project involved excavating out the area, pouring concrete for a 14 x 20 foot patio and a 20 foot long sidewalk and creating a new landscaped area with plantings and lava rock.

Three benches were also refurbished as a part of the work performed.

The project was performed in three sessions in September and October of 2008

Luke’s scout masters are Chad Cummings and Mike Logsdon of Troop 687.

Troop 687 meets at Summit Hills Baptist Church in Hillview on Tuesday nights.
