SHEPHERDSVILLE - While there aren’t a lot of definite answers on how Bullitt County might be affected by the federal stimulus dollars sent from Washington, it appears there will be a law enforcement program revived to put more officers on the streets.
The Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program is to receive $1 billion to provide another 5,500 officers across the country.
Several Bullitt County agencies are currently working to apply for those funds.
