HEBRON ESTATES - A three-car intersection accident resulted in minor injuries and traffic delays Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the N.Preston Hwy. intersection at the John Harper Highway and Birkland Blvd. around 3:30 p.m.

Pioneer Village Police chief D.J. Reynolds said a black Plymouth Voyager, driven by a white male, 66, from Hillview, was headed westbound from Birkland to John Harper.

According to witnesses, the Voyager entered the intersection despite not having the right of way.

The Voyager made contact with a red Lincoln Mercury headed southbound on N.Preston. The collision forced the Lincoln into the northbound lanes, where it smashed into a red Volvo.

The Lincoln came to rest in the ditch along the southeast corner of the intersection.

A driver and two passengers in the Volvo were transported by Bullitt County EMS units to Jewish Hospital Medical Center South. Reynolds said the injuries were not life-threatening.

Reynolds said the two passengers were students from North Bullitt High School.

The Lincoln driver also reported to Jewish with minor injuries. Reynolds said the Voyager driver was not injured.

Both the Volvo and Lincoln received severe damages. The Voyager also received noticeable damage.

Hillview Police assisted PVPD units at the scene with the investigation and traffic control.

Zoneton Fire units also responded, assisting with patients and mitigation.
