MW Lions Club announces donations for year

 The Mount Washington Lions Club recently announced its donations for the 2012-13 year.

     The club donated a total of $16,059.15 to local organizations in the past 12 months.

     The largest benefactor was the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, which received $4,000.

     The schools received contributions with Mount Washington Middle receiving $100, Bullitt East’s cross country team getting $1,840 and the Pleasant Grove archery club receiving $1,000.

     Another $1,000 was presented for the Mount Washington Spring Festival Scholarship Fund.

     The Elizabethtown Lions Club and Lions Club International each received a $1,000 contribution.

     Eight recipients were provided eye care at 20/20 Eye Care at a cost of $1,689.15.

     The Mount Washington Lioness Club was presented $1,100.

     The Mount Washington Community Ministries received $950 and Mount Washington First Baptist Church was given $500.

     Mount Washington Youth Baseball received $400 and Refuge Church and Mount Washington Angel Tree each received $300.

     Lions District 43N received $280 and the Crusade for Children, Camp Crescendo and Bethel United Methodist Church golf scramble each received $200.
