BARDSTOWN - A licensed practical nurse has been accused of stealing medications from Windsor Gardens Assisted Living Center.

Jerl Hammack, 31, Mount Washington, was employed at the facility at 101 Isaac Greer Court. when the thefts occurred, Bardstown Police Detective Lynn Davis said.

Twelve hydrocodone pills were reportedly stolen on two separate instances, likely to have occurred Jan. 5 and Jan. 15, according to Davis.

“On Jan. 27 they notified us of theft of controlled substances, and they had done an internal investigation, and he admitted to them that he had been stealing hydrocodone,” Davis alleged. “He admitted to us that he does have an addiction problem.”
