MOUNT WASHINGTON – While changes in the hours will take effect on Monday, Mount Washington officials have been very pleased with the cleanup efforts following the recent ice storm.
A makeshift debris removal site was formed at the southeast corner of the bypass and Old Bardstown Road.
Mayor Joetta Calhoun praised community members for their efforts in helping with the cleanup. She specifically praised First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington and Mount Washington United Methodist Church for manning an all-night warming shelter at the First Baptist location.
