MOUNT WASHINGTON - When Mount Washington was approved by the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority to receive a $10.5 million revolving fund loan to finance the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, city officials thought they would have to raise water and sewer rates by 17.5 percent to pay off the 20-year loan.
To avoid such a drastic increase, city officials have been working to find other alternatives to the rate increase suggested by KIA.
