The sun was shining on Thursday in Shepherdsville City Park. Just a day earlier, water covered portions of the park.
But on Thursday, it was perfect as the National Day of Prayer was held at the pavilion.
Another large crowd attended this annual event.
Organizer Donna Bradshaw commissioned all the area pastors as “generals” in God’s Army.
Various local ministers, including Mike Nalley of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, gave prayers for various topics.
Local JROTC students from Bullitt Central, as well as youth from Trinity Life Center, participated in the program.
