New business looks for better ‘results’ for their PT clients

-A A +A

SHEPHERDSVILLE - If you looking for a “hands on” approach to physical therapy and a quicker road to recovery, a business might be just what you are looking for in Bullitt County.

Results Physiotherapy opened  its newest physical therapy clinic Monday in the Cedar Grove Shopping Center, across from the Amazon Fulfillment Center.

According to Brooke Blackford, sales and marketing representative for the Central Tennessee-based company, this was the perfect area to open its fifth clinic in Kentucky.

“We saw a need for what we offer,” said Blackford. “We see that the area is growing.”

Results Physiotherapy offers a new approach to the art of physical therapy, with a “hands-on” approach to getting you better.

Don’t look for machines. Your therapy will be performed by certified therapists who have been trained in the company’s method of care.

Whether you go to a clinic in Shepherdsville, Louisville, Fern Creek or Bowling Green, Blackford said patients would receive the same quality care.

Only physical therapists will be performing your work.

Blackford said it is important to be treated by the same therapist each time you visit. That will allow any changes in the therapy plan of attack to work in a quicker manner.

If something is working well, or may not be working as well, Blackford said the therapist can make changes.

Throughout the process, she said the patient’s physician is part of the team approach to getting better.

All the physical therapists are certified and will continue their education for another 2-3 years to learn the Results Physciotherapy hands-on techniques.

Although the most common ailments relate to back and neck pain, Blackford said dozens of other injuries and illnesses can be resolved through physical therapy.

Some, however, will require surgery.

“Every patient is different,” said Blackford. “We want to determine what is best for the patients.”

Getting them back to a better quality of life in the quickest manner possible is a goal, she said.

The company accepts most medical insurance policies. Doctor referrals are not required.

LouAnne Armstrong, an area physical therapist for the past 24 years, will be the clinic’s lead therapist.

“I chose to join Results Physiotherapy because I wanted to be a part of a company that’s passionate about delivering excellent patient care and drive to excel,” said Armstrong. “I like being a part of a company that supports my continuing clinical education and will add to my skill set.”

Hours will be from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. weekdays. Hours could vary the first couple of weeks.
