LOUISVILLE - Heavy rain on Tuesday forced the Sixth Region Softball Tournament to postpone the scheduled games on Tuesday, pushing the entire Sixth/Seventh Region Tournaments back one day.
As it stood on Tuesday afternoon, the Sixth Region semi-finals were set to be played on Wednesday at Ulmer Stadium. Butler and Pleasure Ridge Park were set to play at 5:30 p.m. before Bullitt East and Holy Cross squared off against each other at 7:30 p.m.
That meant that the Seventh Region Softball semi-finals were to be played on Thursday with both of the championship games now to be played on Friday.
As of Tuesday, there were no changes in the Sixth/Seventh Region Baseball Tournaments. That meant that Bullitt East was set to take on Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in one semi-final. Pleasure Ridge Park and DeSales were in the other semi-final.
