HEBRON ESTATES - The 2010 football season will go down as a great success story for the North Bullitt Eagles.
The green and gold finished with an 8-4 record and won eight of the last ten games. The Eagles reached the second round of the play-offs before losing 29-8 to Western, a team that would reach the Class 4-A state semi-finals.
Along the way, North Bullitt won the Bullitt Cup as the top team in the county.
That is all well and good. It just didn’t happen the way that head coach Brett Newton had envisioned it back during the summer.
