LOUISVILLE - A group of 23 area Boy Scouts and 10 adult Scout leaders went on a life changing 10-day summer trek through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico at Philmont Scout Ranch.
Philmont covers 214 square miles of vast wilderness. The property donated to the Boy Scouts of America by oilman Waite Phillips, and is maintained by BSA as a high adventure, camping and training center.
