While most have grown accustomed to seeing the Lebanon Junction Old Fashion Days Festival pageant take place the week before the festival, the Old Fashion Days Committee has decided to switch things up this year.

The 2011 Old Fashion Days pageant will be held this Saturday, Oct. 8 beginning at 2 p.m. and will take place under the entertainment tent in front of the Lebanon Junction Community Center on N. Poplar Street.

The pageant will include the following categories: Cutest Baby for boys and girls ages 0-6 months and ages 6-12 months; Terrific Toddler for boys and girls ages 1-2 years and 2-3 years; Tiny Mister and Miss Lebanon Junction for ages 4-6 years; Little Miss for elementary school girls ages 7-10 years; Junior Miss Lebanon Junction for middle school girls ages 11-13 years and Miss Lebanon Junction for high school girls ages 14-18.

The Miss Lebanon Junction pageant will be a formal affair and contestants are asked to wear evening gowns or prom dresses.

The rest of the pageant contestants should be dressed in their Sunday best.

Contestants must compete in their respective age groups and live in the Lebanon Junction zip code or attend area schools. Contestants must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian and be registered prior to the pageant.

Registration forms can be found at the Lebanon Junction City Hall, People’s Bank of Bullitt County in Lebanon Junction or the Lebanon Junction branch of the Bullitt County Public Library.

Registration is $10 for baby and toddler contestants, $15 for all others.
