Parents Left Behind, Inc., a non-profit organization geared to helping grieving parents, is hosting its first annual "Walking With Memories" in memory of and in honor of the children we have lost.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4, from 1-4 p.m. at Shepherdsville City Park. The walk will take place at 3 p.m., followed by a moment of silence.
We are walking to bring awareness to grieving parents and to walk for our children and honor their memories.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. Information booths will be set up by local organization
Activities at the walk:
*Bounce house ( Donated by the Mayor and his wife, Scott and April Ellis)
*Cornhole for ages 15 and up
*Fire Safety House (for kids and parents) prvided by the Shepherdsville Fire Department
*Parents Left Behind Shirts (Limited walk t-shirts and also group logo t-hirts)
*A memorial gift will be given to grieving parents after our moment of silence following the walk.
What we offer as a group:
*We hold support group meetings the second thursday of every month from 6pm-8pm . This is held at the Shepherdsville government center.
*We also hold an online support chat group every Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm through Chatzy.com
*We offer continous chats and discussions on our Facebook group page
