Plant 'sitting' in right zone; request pulled

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - With assurances that the proposed use of the property fell into the current zoning classification, a request to change to a heavy industrial use has been withdrawn.

Attorney John Wooldridge confirmed that his client, Salt River Investments Inc., had withdrawn its request to rezone 23.7 acres from IL light industrial to IG heavy industrial in the Cedar Grove Business Park.

The tract would be used for a major Ford Motor Co. supplier and would initially employee around 200 employees.
