Camp Invention is open to students going into grades 3-5 next school year and will immerse your child in a weeklong experience where he or she will discover creativity and inventiveness through hands-on, creative problem solving activities. The program is led by local, highly qualified educators who are passionate about helping children grow through hands-on learning.

Summer Fun at Crossroads Elementary School
Free camps by the Family Resource Center and the 21st Century Community Learning Center for Crossroads Elementary School students:
Mad Scientist Week (Science Camp) June 3-7 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. For students entering grades 3-4. Students will experience science in a new and fun way by rotating through centers to try experiments and hands-on science problems.
A Recipe for Success (Cooking Camp) June 3-7 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. Students entering grades 1-3 will be measuring out some ingredients to a healthy recipe. They will cook and sample new foods as well as design a recipe book to keep.
Adventures in Reading (Reading Camp) June 10-14 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. This camp will be offered to students in grades K-5 and will be an exciting and fun way to engage them min reading, writing and spelling by using fun “Adventureland” themes each day.
A Camping We Will Go (Math Camp) June 17-22 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. Students in grades K-5 will build foundational math skills by using every day math. Students will work on basic math skills and number sense, as well as word problem solving through games and activities.
Gardening Club each Wednesday in June from 9:00-11:00 a.m. for students entering grades 1-5. Learn basic gardening skills while planting flowers and vegetables and tending them each week. Students will also learn how to harvest at home to add color and variety to family meals.
All About Me (Fitness/Future Camp) June 15-19 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This camp will focus on students’ health and future with components that include character education, anti-bullying, nutrition, overall fitness and tentatively conclude with a day of field trips in the community.
Lights, Camera, Action (Arts and Humanities Camp) July 22-26 from 9:00 am.2:00 p.m. for students entering grades 1-5. Students may be making movies, creating PowerPoints, acting, creating art or music. Find your niche in the arts! This camp will be full of energy and fun as students move through rotations based on different areas of creativity.

Old Mill Elementary School Outdoors Camp
June 3-7 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for Old Mill Elementary School students entering grades 3-5. Cost is $5 a person. The camp will be held at Old Mill and will be about fishing, hunting, camping, Kentucky animals, safety, conservation and more. On Thursday, campers will take a trip to Cedar Ridge Park to practice fishing, archery and canoeing (hours on Thursday 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The camp is sponsored by the Family Resource Center.
Old Mill Elementary School American Girl Camp
June 17-21 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for Old Mill Elementary School students entering grades 3-5. Cost is free! The camp will be held at Old Mill is sponsored by the Family Resource Center.
Old Mill Elementary School Summer Science Camp
July 15-19 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for Old Mill Elementary School students entering grades 3-4. Cost is free! Experience science through exploration! With science as a focus for third and fourth graders, this camp is sure to jump start an interest in science investigation through lab experiments in life science, earth science and physical science. The camp will be held at Old Mill is sponsored by the Family Resource Center.
Old Mill Elementary School Cooking Camp
July 15-19 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for Old Mill Elementary School students entering grades 1-3. Cost is free! Join us for five days of learning and fun with cooking. All young chefs will have the opportunity to explore cooking in a fun, safe environment where they can prepare and eat their own creations and making new friends. The culminating activity will be designing and creating a cookbook to keep. The camp will be held at Old Mill is sponsored by the Family Resource Center.
Drama Camp at Freedom Elementary School
Kentucky Shakespeare will be helping students to perform Romeo and Juliet June 3-7 from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon at Freedom Elementary School. The cost is $15 per person and the age range is current fourth through eighth grade students at Freedom and Brooks Elementary Schools and Hebron Middle School. Bullitt Lick and Bernheim Middle School Youth Services Center is sponsoring summers camps the summer. Registration forms are available in the front office. Space is limited!

Eastside Middle School Basketball Camp
Eastside Middle School basketball camp coordinated by Jerry Troutman. The camp is open to boys entering grades 4-8 and will run from 1:00-6:00 p.m. for four days. The cost is $50 per person and the camp will be held at Eastside. For more information, contact Eastside at (502) 869-5000.
Science Enrichment Program, Drama Camp and Summer Kick-Off Camp
The Family Resource/Youth Service Centers for Roby/Mt. Washington, Cedar Grove/Lebanon Junction, and Bullitt Lick/Bernheim host the following summer camps: Science Enrichment Program, Drama Camp, and Summer Kick-Off Camp. Drama Camp and Archery Camp
The Brooks/Freedom FRC and the Hebron/North Bullitt YSC offer a drama camp and an archery camp. The cost of the camps will not exceed $25. All other costs will be absorbed by the Family Resource or Youth Service Center. North Bullitt Boys Basketball Camp
North Bullitt High School’s boys’ basketball team hosts a basketball camp at the school on June 10-13, 2013. It is open to students in grades K-9. It will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost per participant is $65. The camp is organized and supervised by Coach Brian Courtney. The proceeds from the camp will benefit the boys basketball team. North Bullitt Girls Basketball Camp
North Bullitt High School’s girls’ basketball team hosts a basketball camp at the school on June 3-6, 2013. It is open to students in grades K-10 and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost per participant is $55. District employees interested in sending their daughter to the camp receive a discount of $30.
The camp will be organized and supervised by Coach Amber Courtney. The proceeds from the camp will be used to benefit the girls’ basketball team. For more information, contact North Bullitt at (502) 869-6200.

North Bullitt Girls Soccer Camp
North Bullitt High School’s girls’ soccer team hosts a soccer camp at the school on June 17-20, 2013. It is open to students in grades K-6 and will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The cost per participant is $65.00 ($30 for the son or daughter of BCPS employees).
The camp will be organized and supervised by Coach Ryan Bringhurst. The proceeds from the camp will benefit the girls’ soccer team.

Second Annual North Bullitt Lady Eagles Volleyball Camp
The North Bullitt Lady Eagles Volleyball Team will be hosting their 2nd Annual Volleyball Camp June 17th-19th from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. The camp is open to students entering 2nd through 8th grade for girls.
A discounted price of $35.00 is offered to any District employee who is interested in sending their son or daughter to the camp (the price on the brochure is $50).

First Annual Cougar Volleyball Camp
Bullitt Central High School hosts its 1st annual Cougar Volleyball Camp on June 11-12 in the gymnasium from 9 a.m.-12 for student entering grades K-8. The cost is $40. The camp will be conducted by current BCHS volleyball coaches and current and former players. Proceeds will benefit the Bullitt Central Volleyball Boosters Club. First Annual BCHS Soccer Camp
The Bullitt Central Soccer Team hosts its 1st annual Soccer Camp on June 17-19, 2013, from 9 a.m. to noon for students in first through sixth. The cost is $45a participants and includes a T-shirt. For more information, contact Bullitt Central at (502) 869-6000.
Eighth Annual Cougar Hoops School
The Bullitt Central Boys Basketball team is hosting the 8th annual Cougar Hoops School May 28-31 from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon. It is open to boys entering grades Kindergarten through eighth. Please contact Men’s Basketball Coach Joe Pat Lee with any questions at (502)-641-5359.
Bullitt East High School Soccer Camp
The Bullitt East Boys Soccer team hosts the 9th annual soccer camp for kids K-6th grade. The cost is $60 per student and the camp will operate June 3-6 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Bullitt East. Annual Bullitt East High School Charger Basketball Camp
The camp is June 3-7 at Bullitt East and is for boys and girls entering kindergarten through eighth grade. The girls’ session is from 8:30 a.m.-noon followed by the boys’ session from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The cost is $55 is pre-registered $60 for walk-ins. Bullitt East High School Charger Baseball Camp
The camp is June 17-19 at Mt. Washington Elementary School. Ages 9-12 will participate from 9:00 a.m.-noon followed by ages 5-8 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The cost is $50 a person and the camp is open to any student who is eligible to play youth baseball. This includes all students from the coach pitch level and up to 12 year-olds. Bullitt East High School Read and React Skills Camp
The camp is May 29-31for boys entering third grade through freshman. Ages 8-10 will participate from 9:00 a.m.-noon followed by ages 11-14 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. The camp will be held in the Bullitt East gymnasium. The cost is $60 per student.
