LOUISVILLE - Standing before U.S. District Judge Dave Whalin, attorney Thomas Clay entered a not guilty plea for his client, Hillview police chief Glenn Caple.
Caple was recently indicted on a single count of lying to federal investigators over a drug case in the city of Hillview in January 2012.
The federal charge carries a possible penalty of up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and three years of supervised release.
A trial date of Dec. 16 was set.
