Police search for bank robbery suspect

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - Police are searching for a suspect from an armed robbery that took place at Stock Yards Bank and Trust Monday morning.


Police received a hold-up alarm at the bank around 12:30 p.m. Monday. The bank is located at 183 Adam Shepherd Parkway in Shepherdsville.

According to Shepherdsville Police public information officer Sgt. Michael O'Donnell, the suspect brandished a weapon and demanded money from a teller.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot in the area of the McDonald's on the corner of Adam Shepherd and Hwy. 44 West.

The suspect is reported to be a white male, 6' 0", with a thin build, possibly 145 pounds. He was clean shaven with brown hair. He was wearing a long-sleeve white shirt underneath a green T-shirt, plaid shorts and possibly a jacket.

The suspect was carrying a pink Dora the Explorer backpack with a small, dark handgun inside of it. O'Donnell said the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of currency.
