PIONEER VILLAGE - Whatever pools remain open after June 30, there will be a higher cost of admission to those who use the facilities.
Bullitt Fiscal Court accepted the recommendation of parks director Kendall Grant to slightly increase fees for the county's swimming pools.
To date, only the Maryville pool has been opened with the necessary repairs to meet the federal Virginia Graeme Baker safety bill.
Grant recommended the admission fee rise from $3 to $3.50 and that the coupon books go from $15 to $20 for 10 tickets.
