It has been a tough year for many people in our community and in the nation. At no time has more help been needed for so many.
Once again, the community has come forward during the holiday season.
Throughout the next few weeks, you’ll see some of the pictures of those working to help others.
From the 60-plus food baskets collected by the Bullitt Central JROTC to the 300 baskets given out by the Shepherdsville Food Basket program to the 400 distributed by Operation Santa, this is a giving community.
In Lebanon Junction and Mount Washington, there were food and toys given out.
Churches take care of their members and even those who may not be part of the church.
The Toys for Tots program collected well over 1,000 toys and the American Legion Post party fed over 200 youngsters. Bounty of Hope will feed over 300 on Christmas day.
The acts of giving continue each year. We are not surprised and there are many more we could name and many we don’t know about.
We take this opportunity to thank each person who helps one another in this time of need. Bullitt County is a caring community.
