Pre-season Test and Tune scheduled Mar. 23 at Salem Speedway

 SALEM, IN, March 15 – A pre-season test & tune session for both the Salem Speedway infield short-track and the half-mile high banked oval is set for Saturday, March 23rd reports track management.

The three-hour practice session is open to all Salem Speedway divisions and any traveling series scheduled to compete at Salem during the 2013 season.  Pit gates are scheduled to open at 10 a.m., with practice getting underway at 12-noon.

Spectators are invited to view the activities from the grandstand area at no charge.

The 2013 Salem Speedway season gets underway on Sunday afternoon, April 7th with the Taco Bell/Pizza Hut Express Short-Track Festival.  The O’Reilly Auto Parts Pure Stocks, Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks and the FAST Series Legends Cars and Bandoleros are the featured divisions.

The Lucas Oil Great American Stocks see their first action of the season on Sunday, April 28th as part of the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 weekend.

Five-Star Race Car Bodies and Salem Speedway announced that the Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, company will continue its support of the Lucas Oil Great American Stock division for the upcoming 2013 season.

Five-Star Race Car Bodies will award a $900 product certificate to a driver in the Lucas Oil Great American Stock division who participates in at least 80 percent of the 2013 scheduled races.  A random drawing will be held at the 2013 Awards Banquet to determine the winner.
