SHEPHERDSVILLE – In the future, could students in Bullitt County have to wait until they reach the age of 18 to drop out of school?
That is a possibility now that the Kentucky General Assembly approved Senate Bill 97.
Under the provisions of the bill, which was spearheaded by state Rep. Jeff Greer, who represents portions of Bullitt County, local districts would have the option of increasing the dropout age from 16 to 18.
