After getting approval for half of its 3 percent rate hike request last year, the Bullitt County Sanitation District might have another way to generate needed funds.
Bullitt Fiscal Court held a first reading at its Oct. 2 meeting to allow the sanitation district to automatically receive an annual rate increase based upon the consumer price index.
A final reading and vote could occur at the Oct. 16 meeting.
