SHEPHERDSVILLE - Bullitt Fiscal Court members recently learned of an opportunity to refinance a bond issue undertaken to build the detention center.
The expectation was that the county would save about $40,000 a year over the life of the bond, which would mature in 2028.
While agreeing that refinancing of the bond issue will be a prudent move, Grant Satterly and Sue Blakeman of the Kentucky Association of Counties weren't sure that now would be the proper time.
