SHEPHERDSVILLE – Bullitt Circuit Judge Rodney Burress had a simple question – why?
After a lawsuit between Southeast Bullitt Fire Protection District and the city of Shepherdsville had apparently been settled in 2011, the parties are back in Bullitt Circuit Court.
While the original lawsuit contested the city’s establishment of a regular fire department and any indebtedness incurred by the fire district in annexed property by the city, the newest suit challenges the legality of 15 annexation measures taken after 2001.
