Don’t have anything to do on Friday evening? Come out to North Bullitt High School from 7 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday for the annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
There are few things as uplifting as watching cancer survivors make a lap around the track.
The luminaries which will be lit in honor of those who have fallen to the grips of cancer.
Bullitt County is often seen as a divided area. On this particular night, there is no division. There is no city versus county, city versus city.
Instead, it is just a whole lot of people - of all ages - who have come together to raise funds to help find a cure to cancer.
Lets hope for good weather and we encourage everyone to come out for just a few minutes to see old friends and to soak in some of the excitement which can be found all around the North Bullitt track.
