SHEPHERDSVILLE - When Bullitt County Public Schools’ custodian Donnie Jessie learned of the proposal to outsource the district’s cleaning services last week he was unsettled.
The 47-year-old was one of 80 custodians who would have lost their jobs under the proposal and like so many of his co-workers he feared the worst.
“I couldn’t sleep,” Jessie said. “I didn’t know what was going to happen to us.”
