ROADSHOW for the week beginning November 12, 2017

 Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.

 

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

 

Bullitt County:

KY 44 (Old Mill Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with Bogard Lane/Lloyd Lane (mile marker 18.5) due to turning lane construction. Lane closures are possible nightly from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

 

KY 61 (Preston Highway): Lane closures and delays possible between Ball Park Road in Lebanon Junction and KY 44 in Shepherdsville (mile markers 2.1 to 14.5) due to roadway resurfacing. Work will be performed during daylight hours. Lane closures are limited in Shepherdsville to 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily.

 

KY 61 (Preston Highway):Lane closures and delays between KY 44 and Hillbrook Drive (mile marker 14.5 to 17.7) due to roadway widening and realignment. Motorists should watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

 

KY 61 (Preston Highway):Construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway between KY 1494 and KY 480C (mile markers 13.7 to 13.9) due to construction of a new route.

 

KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road): The roadway is reduced to one lane near Woodsdale Road (mile marker 10.0) due to retaining wall repairs. A temporary traffic signal is in place to direct traffic through the work zone. This work will continue through mid-November.

 

KY 1020 (Coral Ridge Road): Lane closures and delays possible between East Blue Lick Road and the Bullitt/Jefferson County line (mile markers 1.8 to 5.1) due to rumble strip installation. Work will be performed during daylight hours.

 

Old Ford Road:Construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway due to construction of the Beech Grove Road bypass.

 

Jefferson County:

Interstate 64 West: Exit ramp to I-264 East (Exit 1) near the Sherman Minton Bridge is reduced to one lane for bridge repairs.

 

Interstate 64 East: Lane closures and delays possible between the Sherman Minton Bridge and I-264 interchange in western Louisville (mile markers 0.4 to 1.1) due to overhead bridge repairs. Lane closures are possible in the evenings from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

 

Interstate 64 West: Lane closures and delays possible between the Breckenridge Lane overpass and the Oxmoor overpass (mile markers 11.4 to 13.5) due to concrete pavement maintenance. Lane closures are possible nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

 

Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible on the ramps at the Old Henry Road interchange (Exit 29) due to construction of turning lanes. Lane closures are prohibited weekdays 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

 

US 31E (Bardstown Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with Broad Run Parkway (mile marker 0.78) due to traffic signal installation. Lane closures are possible daily 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and evenings 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

 

US 31E (Main Street): Sidewalk closures and parking restrictions in place between Clay Street and Jackson Street (mile markers 17.1 to 17.3) due to streetscape improvements.

 

US 31W (Dixie Highway): Lane closures and delays possible between Heaton Road and Herbert Avenue (mile markers 14.4 to 14.9) due to sidewalk construction, signal installation and drainage improvements. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

US 31W (Dixie Highway): Lane closures and traffic shifts in place between Bethany Lane and Stonestreet Road (mile markers 7.7 to 9.7) due to asphalt replacement. Additional lane closures are possible weeknights in the northbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and in the southbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.  Lane closures are also possible on weekends from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

 

US 60 (Shelbyville Road):Lane closures and delays possible between Daventry Lane and Cambridge Station Road (mile markers 7.9 to 8.3) due to sidewalk and storm drainage construction. Lane closures are possible daily 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

US 60 (Shelbyville Road): Lane closures are possible between Breckenridge Lane and Hurstbourne Parkway (mile markers 5.3 to 7.8) due to drainage structure adjustments, pavement marking installation and corrective work. Lane closures possible weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and in the evenings from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.

 

US 60A (Eastern Parkway):Roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction between Poplar Level Road and Royal Avenue (mile markers 5.5 to 5.9) due to bridge replacement. Speed limit in work zone is reduced to 25 mph.

 

KY 155 (Taylorsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Ruckriegel Parkway and Hurstbourne Parkway (mile marker 9.0 to 11.3) due to pavement marking installation. Lane closures are possible daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

 

KY 841 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible at the East End Tunnels (mile marker 36.9) due to cleaning in the tunnels. Lane closures are possible weekdays 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

SouthboundKY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway): Lane closures and delays possible between Shelbyville Road and Weakly Way (mile markers 13.5 to 14.1) due to sidewalk construction. Lane closures are possible daily 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

KY 3084 (Old Henry Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Nelson Miller Parkway and Terra Crossing Boulevard (mile marker 0.8 to 1.4) due to addition of turning lanes and bridge deck repairs.

 

 

Franklin County:

Westbound Interstate 64: Lane closures and delays possible at the bridge over the Kentucky River (mile marker 55.4) due to bridge inspection. Lane closures are possible 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on those dates.

 

Interstate 64: Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between US 60 (mile marker 57.8) in Franklin County and KY 341 (mile marker 64.8) in Woodford County due to concrete pavement patching and guardrail installation. Daytime lane closures are possible 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Weeknight lane closures are possible 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. Weekend lane closures are permitted from 7 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. the following Monday. A 12-foot width restriction is in place through the work zone during these time periods. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 55 MPH. Double fines are being enforced.

 

US 60 (East Main Street): Lane closures and delays possible between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Douglas Avenue (mile marker 9.3 to 9.7) due to overhead walkway construction. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 35 MPH.

 

KY 676 (East-West Connector):Lane closures and delays possible between US 127 to US 60 (mile markers 0.0 to 5.2) due to roadway milling and resurfacing. Lane closures are prohibited on weekdays 6:30 – 8 a.m. and 4 – 5:30 p.m.

 

 

Henry County:

US 421:Lane closures and delays possible between the Franklin/Henry County line and the Henry/Shelby County line (mile markers 0.0 to 6.2) due to roadway resurfacing.

 

KY 1606 (Fallen Timber Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Kavanaugh Lane and the railroad crossing (mile markers 4.0 to 5.9) due to roadway resurfacing.

 

Oldham County:

KY 22 (Ballardsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with KY 329 in Crestwood (mile marker 3.2) due to water and sewer line installation and turning lane construction. Lane closures and delays are possible daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and in the evenings from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. Shoulder closures are possible at all times. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 25 MPH.

 

KY 53: Lane closures and delays possible between KY 22 and KY 146 (mile markers 3.0 to 7.0) due to pavement marking installation. Lane closures are possible daily 9 a.m.  – 3 p.m.

 

KY 53: Lane closures and delays possible near Blakemore Lane (mile marker 4.4) due to construction of a new route. Motorists should be aware of new alignment and watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

 

KY 362 (Central Avenue): Lane closures and delays possible between Central Court and Edgewood Way (mile markers 0.4 to 0.8) due to roadway resurfacing. Lane closures are possible 8 a.m.  – 7 p.m.

 

KY 362 (Ash Avenue): Lane closures and delays possible between Hawley Gibson Road and the Oldham/Shelby County line (mile markers 2.5 to 3.0) due to roadway resurfacing. Lane closures are possible 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

 

KY 393: Shoulder closures and delays possible at Commerce Parkway (mile marker 4.8) due to installation of a traffic signal.

 

KY 2855 (Fort Pickens Road): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 146 and KY 3223 (mile markers 0.0 to 2.4) due to roadway resurfacing. Lane closures are possible 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

 

KY 2857 (New Moody Lane):  Construction delays possible near Forrest Park Drive (mile marker 1.0) due to new route construction.  Motorists should watch for traffic shifts and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

 

Shelby County:

KY 1790 (Hooper Station Road): Lane closures and delays possible between the I-64 overpass and KY 714 (mile markers 3.1 to 4.4) due to roadway resurfacing. This work is scheduled for Saturday, November 11.

 

KY 2861 (Zaring Mill Road):Lane closures and delays possible between the railroad crossing and US 60 (mile markers 5.8 to 6.5) due roadway milling and resurfacing. This work is scheduled for Saturday, November 18.

 

Spencer County:

KY 2885 (West River Road):Roadway is closed at the bridge over Simpson Creek (mile marker 2.6) near Netherton Lane due to bridge replacement. This closure will continue through early December. Motorists should follow the signed detour via KY 55 and KY 652.
