ROADSHOW for the week beginning October 1, 2017

 Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.

 

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

 

Bullitt County:

KY 61 (Preston Highway):Lane closures and delays between KY 44 and Hillbrook Drive (mile marker 14.5 to 17.7) due to roadway widening and realignment. Motorists should watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

 

KY 61 (Preston Highway):Construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway between KY 1494 and KY 480C (mile markers 13.7 to 13.9) due to construction of a new route.

 

KY 251 (Belmont Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the culvert over Crooked Creek (mile marker 1.6) due to culvert repairs. Traffic will be flagged through the work zone when equipment and materials are being brought on site.

 

Old Ford Road:Construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway due to construction of the Beech Grove Road bypass.

 

Jefferson County:

Interstate 64 West: Lane closures and delays possible between Hurstbourne Parkway and I-264 (mile markers 12 to 14) due to concrete pavement maintenance. Lane closures are possible nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

 

Interstate 264 West (Watterson Expressway):The exit ramp to Dixie Highway North (Exit 8B) will be closed due to ramp realignment. This closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9. Motorists will be detoured via I-264 West to Cane Run Road (Exit 5) to I-264 East where they can then access US 31W North.

 

Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible on the ramps at the Old Henry Road interchange (Exit 29) due to construction of turning lanes. Lane closures are prohibited weekdays 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. The exit ramp from I-265 North to Old Henry Road (Exit 29) is closed through October 16 for ramp realignment.

 

US 31E (Main Street): Sidewalk closures and parking restrictions in place between Clay Street and Jackson Street (mile markers 17.1 to 17.3) due to streetscape improvements.

 

US 31W (Dixie Highway): Lane closures and delays possible between Heaton Road and Herbert Avenue (mile markers 14.4 to 14.9) due to sidewalk construction and ramp improvements. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The exit ramp from I-264 West to Dixie Highway North (Exit 8B) will be closed from 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9. Motorists will be detoured via I-264 West to Cane Run Road (Exit 5) to I-264 East where they can then access US 31W North.

US 31W (Dixie Highway): Lane closures and traffic shifts in place between Bethany Lane and Stonestreet Road (mile markers 7.7 to 9.7) due to drainage work and asphalt replacement. Additional lane closures are possible weeknights in the northbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and in the southbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m.  Lane closures are also possible on weekends from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

 

US 60A (Eastern Parkway):Roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction between Poplar Level Road and Royal Avenue (mile markers 5.5 to 5.9) due to bridge replacement. Speed limit in work zone is reduced to 25 mph.

 

US 60 (Shelbyville Road): Roadway is reduced to one lane at the bridge over Long Run Creek (mile marker 15.9) due to bridge deck restoration and waterproofing. A temporary signal is in place to direct traffic through the work zone. This work will continue through late October.

 

KY 155 (Taylorsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Ruckriegel Parkway and Hurstbourne Parkway (mile marker 9.0 to 11.3) due to pavement marking installation and drainage structure adjustments. Lane closures are possible daily 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the evenings until 6 a.m. the following morning.

 

KY 2055 (West Manslick Road):Lane closures and delays between Morgan Avenue and Mitchell Hill Road (mile marker 1.2 to 1.5) due to construction of a roundabout. Lane closures are not permitted from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

 

KY 3084 (Old Henry Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Nelson Miller Parkway and Terra Crossing Boulevard (mile marker 0.8 to 1.4) due to addition of turning lanes and bridge deck repairs.The exit ramp from I-265 North to Old Henry Road (Exit 29) is closed through October 16 for ramp realignment.

 

Tucker Station Road:  Shoulder closures possible under I-64 due to pier patching.

 

Franklin County:

Interstate 64: Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between US 60 (mile marker 57.8) in Franklin County and KY 341 (mile marker 64.8) in Woodford County due to concrete pavement repairs and diamond grinding. Shoulder closures are possible during daytime hours. Weeknight lane closures are possible 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. Weekend lane closures are permitted from 7 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. the following Monday. A 12-foot width restriction is in place through the work zone during these time periods. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 55 MPH. Double fines are being enforced.

 

US 60 (East Main Street): Lane closures and delays possible between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Douglas Avenue (mile marker 9.3 to 9.7) due to overhead walkway construction. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 35 MPH.

 

US 127 (West Frankfort Connector):Lane closures and delays possible between Devils Hollow Road and the Kentucky River bridge (mile markers 7.1 to 8.7) for concrete pavement repairs. Lane closures are prohibited on northbound US 127 Monday – Friday 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and on southbound US 127 Monday – Friday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Henry County:

US 421:  Lane closures and delays possible between the Franklin/Henry county line and the Henry/Shelby county line (mile markers 0.0 to 6.2) due to pavement base failure repairs. This work is in preparation for roadway resurfacing this fall.

 

KY 1359 (Hillspring Road):  Lane closures and delays possible between KY 22 and KY 241 (mile markers 0.0 to 2.8) due to preventative maintenance on the pavement.

 

Oldham County:

KY 22 (Ballardsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with KY 329 in Crestwood (mile marker 3.2) due to water and sewer line installation and turning lane construction. Lane closures and delays are possible daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and in the evenings from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. Shoulder closures are possible at all times. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 25 MPH.

 

KY 53: Lane closures and delays possible near Blakemore Lane (mile marker 4.4) due to construction of a new route. Motorists should be aware of new alignment and watch for equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

 

KY 362 (Ash Avenue): Roadway is reduced to one lane at the bridge over Floyds Fork (mile marker 3.0) due to bridge deck restoration and waterproofing. A temporary signal is in place to direct traffic through the work zone. This work will continue through early October.

 

KY 2857 (New Moody Lane):  Construction delays possible near Forrest Park Drive (mile marker 1.0) due to new route construction.  Motorists should watch for traffic shifts and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

 

Shelby County:

US 60 (Shelbyville Road): Roadway will be reduced to one lane at the bridge over Bullskin Creek (mile marker 5.98) due to bridge deck restoration and waterproofing. A temporary signal will be in place to direct traffic through the work zone. This work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Oct. 4 and will continue through early November.

 

US 60:  Lane closures and delays possible between KY 1871 (Rocket Lane) and KY 395 (mile markers 12.8 to 19.3) due to roadway milling and resurfacing.

 

KY 1399 (Veechdale Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Taylor Wood Road and the Norfolk Southern railroad crossing (mile markers 0.0 to 2.0) due to preventive maintenance.

 

KY 1790 (Hooper Station Road): Lane closures and delays possible between the I-64 overpass and KY 714 (mile markers 3.1 to 4.4) due to roadway resurfacing.

 

KY 2861 (Zaring Mill Road):Lane closures and delays possible between the railroad crossing and US 60 (mile markers 5.8 to 6.5) due roadway milling and resurfacing.

 

 

Spencer County:

KY 2885 (West River Road):Roadway is closed at the bridge over Simpson Creek (mile marker 2.6) near Netherton Lane due to bridge replacement. This closure will continue through early November. Motorists should follow the signed detour via KY 55 and KY 652.
