No interstate lane closures for construction will be allowed on May 3-4 for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

 

Bullitt County:

Routine maintenance

 

Jefferson County:

Interstate 265:  Lane closures and delays possiblein both directions between KY 146 (LaGrange Road) and Interstate 71 (mile points 30.3 and 34.7) due to concrete pavement repairs.    The roadway may be reduced to one lane in each direction on weeknights Monday – Friday from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 55 MPH and double fines will be enforced.

Interstate 264:  Lane closures and delays possible between Browns Lane and Westport Road (mile points 18.4 and 20.7).  For the next few weeks, concrete repairs will be taking place primarily on weekends.  Lane and ramp closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 45 MPH and double fines will be enforced.

Interstate 64:  Shoulder closures and delays possible at the Hurstbourne Parkway entrance and exit ramps (mile point 15.0) due to interchange improvements.

US 31:  Construction delays possible due to painting of structural steel on the Indiana approach of the Clark Memorial Bridge (mile points 0 to 1.1).  Lane closures will be restricted to evenings from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  To avoid conflicts with Kentucky Derby Festival events, lane and sidewalk closures are not allowed until May 6.

US 31E (Bardstown Road):  Lane closures and delays possible between Brentlinger Lane and the I-265 interchange (mile points 4.3 and 5.0) due to roadway widening.  Lane closures are possible weeknights Monday – Thursday from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 5:00 a.m. on Monday.  The speed limit is reduced in the work zone.

KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway):  Lane closures and delays possible between Bluegrass Parkway and Linn Station Road (mile points 11.6 and 12.2) due to the interchange improvement project.  Lane closures are possible weeknights from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.  Shoulder closures are possible during daytime hours.

KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway):  Lane closures and delays possible between Bluegrass Parkway and Ellingsworth Lane (mile points 2.3 and 3.0) due to concrete pavement repairs.  Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and overnight from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.  The two left turn lanes and the left through lane on southbound Blankenbaker Parkway at Bluegrass Parkway will be closed from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29.  To access eastbound Bluegrass Parkway, motorists should follow the signed detour via Commonwealth Drive and Campus Place. 

 

Franklin County:

US 60:  Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with KY 676 (East-West Connector)/US 421, mile point 12.1 due to bridge joint repairs.  Construction is scheduled for the weekend of April 26-29.  Lane closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday. 

US 127:    Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with KY 676 (East-West Connector), mile point 5.1 due to concrete pavement repairs.  Construction is scheduled on the weekends through the end of May.  Lane closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday.

 

 

Henry County:

KY 202 (Drennon Road):  Lane closures and delays possible between mile points 6 and 8 due to shoulder repairs and ditching.

KY 3323 (Jackson Road):  Lane closures and delays possible between KY 22 and KY 1861 (mile points 0 and 4) due to shoulder repairs and ditching.

 

Oldham County:

Shelby County:

Interstate 64:  Lane closures and delays possiblefrom the Welcome Center to ½ mile east of KY 55 (mile points 27.9 to 32.8) due to roadway widening.  Lane closures are possible Sunday - Friday from 7:00 p.m. each evening until 5:00 a.m. the following morning and on Saturdays from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  The eastbound exit to KY 55 South (Exit 32A) is closed due to ramp construction.  Motorists can use Exit 32B to access both KY 55 North and South.

Interstate 64:  Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between mile points 38 and 44 due to sealing of pavement joints and cracks.  Lane closures are possible in the evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.

KY 1848:  Shoulder closures and construction delays possible at the I-64 interchange (mile points 4.6 to 6.4) due to roadway widening.  One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.  The speed limit is reduced to 35 MPH in the work zone.   

 

Spencer County:

KY 2885:  Temporary closures between KY 55 (mile point 7.1) and mile point 5.1 due to cross-drain repairs.  This section of the roadway will be closed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from April 29 through May 17.  The roadway will be closed to traffic from midnight until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.  Only emergency vehicles will be allowed access during these closure hours.

 

Trimble County:

KY 1335:  Roadway will be reduced to one lane each day between KY 2871 and the Trimble/Carroll county line (mile points 1 to 4) due to ditching and cross-drain repairs.

US 421:  Construction delays possible near the bridge over the Ohio River (mile points 18.7 to 19.2).  The Milton-Madison Bridge is posted for a 3-ton weight limit.  Vehicles in excess of 36 feet in length are also restricted due to the limited turn radius of the temporary ramps.
