Kentucky Transportation Cabinet

 The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 reports the following roadwork scheduled for the week of Feb. 25:

Bullitt County:

KY 44:  Delays possible between Bullitt Lick Creek and Saltwell Road in Shepherdsville (mile points 10.3 to 11.7) due to sidewalk repairs and improving ramps to ADA compliance.  Motorists should watch for flagging operations Monday – Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Jefferson County:

Interstate 264:  Lane closures and delays possible between Browns Lane and Westport Road (mile points 18.4 and 20.7).  For the next few weeks, concrete repairs will be taking place primarily on weekends.  The following exits will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25:

*Exit ramp from eastbound I-264 to westbound I-64 (Exit 19B)

*Exit ramp from westbound I-264 to eastbound I-64 (Exit 19A)

The signed detour for the I-264 East to I-64 West exit (Exit 19B) will be to follow eastbound I-264 to the Westport Road exit (Exit 21) and at the bottom of the ramp turn left.  Motorists can access westbound I-264 and proceed to westbound I-64.

The signed detour for the I-264 West to I-64 East exit will be to follow westbound I-264 to the exit for Breckenridge Lane South (Exit 18A).  Once on Breckenridge Lane, motorists can immediately access eastbound I-264 and proceed to eastbound I-64.

In addition, the right lane of westbound I-64 will be closed this weekend at the bridge over I-264 (mile point 12.4).  This lane closure is also scheduled from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25.

The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 45 MPH and double fines will be enforced.

US 31:  Roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction on the Clark Memorial Bridge over the Ohio River (mile points 0 to 1.1) due to steel and sidewalk repairs.  Lane closures will be in place 24 hours a day through mid-March.

Interstate 64:  Shoulder closures and delays possible at the Hurstbourne Parkway entrance and exit ramps (mile point 15.0) due to interchange improvements.  Shoulder closures and delays possible on Hurstbourne Parkway between Linn Station Road and Bluegrass Parkway.
