ROADWORK: Week of June 3

Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice. 

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  

Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis. 

Jefferson County:

Interstate 265:  Lane closures and delays possiblein both directions between KY 146 (LaGrange Road) and 

Interstate 71 (mile points 30.3 and 34.7) due to concrete pavement repairs.    The roadway may be reduced to one 

lane in each direction on weeknights Monday –Friday from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. Ramp 

closures are possible at the interchanges with I-71, Brownsboro Road and Westport Road dueto milling and paving.  

Ramp closures are possible weeknights from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning and on weekends from 

8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday.  

Interstate 264:  Lane closures and delays possible between Browns Lane and Westport Road (mile points 18.4 and 

20.7).  Lane and ramp closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday. The exit ramp from westbound I-264 to eastbound I-64 (Exit 19A) will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31 until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 3.  Motorists should follow the signed detour for this ramp closure via the Breckenridge Lane interchange. 

Eastbound Interstate 64:  The exit ramp to southbound KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway) will be closed as part of 

interchange improvement in this area.  The exit ramp signed for “Local Access” to southbound Hurstbourne Parkway 

(Exit 15B) will be closedfrom 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3 until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5due to paving. 

US 31E (Bardstown Road):  Lane closures and delays possible between Brentlinger Lane and the I-265 

interchange (mile points 4.3 and 5.0) due to roadway widening.  Lane closures are possible weeknights Monday – 

Thursday from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane closures are possible from 8:00 

p.m. on Friday until 5:00 a.m. on Monday.  The speed limit isreduced in the work zone. 

US 60 (Frankfort Avenue): Lane closures and delays possible between Mellwood Avenue and Chenoweth Lane 

(mile points 0.96 and 3.54) due to roadway milling and resurfacing.  Milling operations are scheduled from 8:00 p.m. 

on Friday, May 31 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3.  Lane closures are prohibited on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. 

until 8:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

KY 1932 (Breckenridge Lane): Lane closures and delays possible between Dutchmans Lane and the bridge over 

I-64 (mile points 3.8 and 4.1) due to roadway milling and resurfacing.  Lane closures are possible weeknights from 

7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. 

KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway): Lane closures and delays possible between Bluegrass Parkway and 

Ellingsworth Lane (mile points 2.3 and 3.0)dueto concrete pavement repairs.  Lane closures are possible 

weekdaysfrom 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., weeknights from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and weekends from 8:00 p.m. on 

Friday until 5:00 a.m. on Monday. 

KY 1932 (Chenoweth Lane): Lane closures and delays possible between US 60 and US 42 (mile points 5.5 and 

6.5) due to roadway milling and resurfacing.  Lane closures are prohibited on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. until 8:30 

a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

KY 1020 (South Third Street): Lane closuresand delays possible between Oakdale Avenue and US 60A (mile 

points 9.1 and 9.8) due to roadway milling and resurfacing.  Lane closures are possible weeknights from 7:00 p.m. 

until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. 

 

KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway): Lane closures anddelays possible between Bluegrass Parkway and Linn 

Station Road (mile points 11.6 and12.2) due to the interchange improvement project. Lane closures are possible 

nightlyfrom 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.the following morning. 

KY 1865 (Taylor Boulevard):Lane closures and delays possible between Palatka Road and Carrico Avenue (mile 

points 3.0 and 5.3) due to roadway striping.  Lane closures are possible weeknights from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. 

the following morning. 

KY 1932 (Breckenridge Lane):Lane closures and delays possible between Hillbrook Drive and Dutchmans Lane 

(mile points 3.2 and 3.8) due to concrete pavement repairs.  Lane closures are possible weeknights from 7:00 p.m. 

until 6:00 a.m. the following morning and on weekends from 7:00p.m. on Fridays until 6:00 a.m. on Mondays.  

KY 2803 (Arthur Street): Lane closures and delays possible between Brandeis Avenue and Warnock Street (mile 

points 0.0 and 0.2)due to roadway milling and resurfacing.  Lane closures are possible weeknights from 7:00 p.m. 

until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. 

Bullitt County:

KY 61 (Buckman Street): Lane closures and delays possible between Joe B. Hall Avenue and Adam Shepherd 

Parkway (mile point 14.2 and 14.8) due to sidewalk and drainage repairs. 

FranklinCounty:

US 127:  Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with KY 676 (East-West Connector), mile point 5.1 

due to concrete pavement repairs.  Construction is scheduled on the weekends through the end of June.  Lane 

closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday. 

KY 151: Lane closures and delays possible between Old KY 151 and Interstate 64 (mile points 1.6 and 2.1) due to 

installation of turning lanes. 

Henry County:

Southbound Interstate 71: Lane closures anddelays possible between mile points 33 and 38 due to pavement 

repairs.  Lane closures are possible weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. 

KY 561 (Gest Road): Lane closures and delays possible between LeComptes Bottom Road to Fallis-Gest Road 

(mile points 4.2 to 8.5) due to roadway base repairs and resurfacing. 

KY 3323 (Jackson Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Hensley Road (mile point 1.9) and mile 

point 2.7 due to roadway base repairs and resurfacing. 

Oldham County:

Routine maintenance 

  

Shelby County:

Interstate 64:  Lane closures and delays possiblefrom the Welcome Center to 1⁄2 mile east of KY 55 (mile points 

27.9 to 32.8) due to roadway widening.  Lane closures are possible Sunday - Friday from 7:00 p.m. each evening 

until 5:00 a.m. the following morning and on Saturdays from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  The 

eastbound exit to KY 55 South (Exit 32A) is closed due to ramp construction.  Motorists can use Exit 32B to access 

both KY 55 North and South. 

Westbound US60 (Washington Street):  Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with Seventh 

Street (mile point 10.5) due to utility work by Time Warner Cable.  Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9:00 

a.m. until 3:00 p.m. 

KY 55:  Lane closures and delaysbetween Breighton Boulevard and Old Brunerstown Road(mile points 5.8 and 

6.6) due to roadway widening and paving. 

KY 1399: Construction delays possible at the intersection with KY 1848 (mile point 2.4) due to roadway relocation. 

KY 1848: Shoulderclosuresand construction delays possible at the I-64 interchange (mile points 4.6 to 6.4)due to 

roadway widening.  One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.  The speed limit isreduced to 35 MPH in 

the work zone. 

Spencer County:

KY 2885: Temporary closures between KY 55 (mile point 7.1) and mile point 5.1 due to cross-drain repairs.  This 

section of the roadway will be closed on Mondayand Wednesday evenings through mid-June.  The roadway will be 

closed to traffic from midnight until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.  Only emergency vehicles will be allowed access 

during these closure hours. 

TrimbleCounty:

US 421: Construction delays possible nearthe bridge over the Ohio River (mile points 18.7 to 19.2).  The Milton- 

Madison Bridgeisposted for a 3-ton weight limit.  Vehicles in excess of 36 feet in length are also restricted due to 

the limited turn radius of the temporary ramps.
