There is no rumor about this -- property owners in Shepherdsville may face a tax increase.
After sitting through a very emotional meeting of the Shepherdsville City Council on Monday evening, there were lots of facts and even more rumors placed on the table for discussion.
Fact -- the city has lowered its property tax rate on real estate for a number of years.
We opined many years ago about the dangers of doing this. Those fears are now hitting home. Once you give up the revenue, you can never get it back.
