Schedule woes; new track/CC alignment

-A A +A

SHEPHERDSVILLE – A situation that local football coaches and athletic directors are watching closely involves the football program at Nelson County High School.

While nobody has visited and watched, the word on the grapevine at this point is that the Class 5-A school is having a serious numbers crunch. The word earlier this week was that the team had not had more than 19 players show up for any one practice.

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association website is showing 21 players on the early roster for the Cardinals, but two of those are freshmen.
