HEBRON ESTATES – The Bullitt County School District has stepped up its response against a recent whooping cough outbreak at Freedom Elementary School.
As of today, nine Freedom students were confirmed to have the illness, also known as pertussis.
Superintendent Keith Davis issued a letter to parents of FES students stating that any child exhibiting a runny nose, sneezing, low-grade fever and/or cough would be "temporarily excluded" from school.
