One of the odd things about a career in education, unlike a career in engineering or medicine, is that most all of us have spent years during our own childhood in schools - and that translates for some people as qualifying them to be an expert in what it means to be a good teacher.
To an extent, there is some truth to this, but not entirely.
In the course of my job, I am fortunate to be able to walk through a great many classrooms while our teachers are teaching.
