SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Shepherdsville City Council needs an independent consulting engineer to oversee long-term sewer debt agreements.
But the council will wait another meeting to decide who the engineer will be, after receiving further information.
According to mayor Scott Ellis, the city must have an engineer in place if a certain amount of sewer income remains in debt, based on a 1982 city ordinance. The engineer must calculate a consumer price index (CPI) tax rate.
