Spring is just around the corner and with it brings a new season for 4H Shooting Sports. Shooting Sports continues to be one of the largest and fastest growing segments of the Kentucky 4-H Program.

Hundreds of youth ages 9-19 participated last year alone!

Our 4-H Trap /Shotgun Club meets at  the Jefferson Gun Club. (From I-65 take the Brooks exit west and cross the RR tracks. Take Hwy. 1020 North, cross the RR tracks again and turn right) or the Jefferson Co. Sportsman’s Club, depending on availability.

For more information call Mark Durbin at 957-3277.  Trap will meet from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and will continue every Tuesday thereafter.

Trap is a very exciting sport for boys and girls. Trap can help youth learn concentration and focus that can carry over to other parts of life. There are several competitions that youth can participate in this summer also.

As with all the disciplines in shooting sports no previous shooting experience is necessary and we have equipment that the youth can use to see if they will truly enjoy their experience.

Our coaches are highly trained and provide a safe, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy the sport. Shooting sports has proven time and time again to be the SAFEST of all sports, come join us.
