MOUNT WASHINGTON - Rain on one end and the Kentucky Derby on the other made it a short week for the Bullitt East Chargers, but that was just fine as the red and gold won a pair of games to move 17-6 overall with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
The red and gold finally got on the field on Thursday last week and turned back Franklin County 2-1 in a good pitcher’s duel. Then we no school on Friday on Oaks Day, the Chargers took the field at 11 a.m. and crushed Manual 10-0.
