MOUNT WASHINGTON - Sidewalks were the hot button of topic at last week’s Mount Washington City Council meeting Monday.
During the mayor’s report, Mount Washington Mayor Joetta Calhoun said she has been receiving complaints about the new sidewalks.
“Some people think we are wasting our money (on this),” she said. “When not one penny of city money has gone into this.”
Calhoun explained that 80 percent of the project was funded by an urban grant and the rest came from a toll revenue grant.
