SHEPHERDSVILLE - Applications will be taken starting on Monday, Nov. 5, for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The application site in Bullitt County will be at the Multi-Purpose Senior Citizens facility on Frank E. Simon Avenue near the county courthouse.
The application process will be done in alphabetical order starting with those whose last name ends with an A. The process continues through Dec. 14.
There will be another phase of the funds - the crisis portion - which begins Jan. 7.
The eligibility for funding is based on monthly gross income in the household.
You must bring: your most recent heating bill or verification from your landlord that heating expenses are part of the rent; proof of Social Security number or permanent residence card (green card) for each member of the household; and proof of income from all household members from the preceding month.
