Signups begin today for LIHEAP benefits

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - Applications will be taken starting on Monday, Nov. 5, for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

The application site in Bullitt County will be at the Multi-Purpose Senior Citizens facility on Frank E. Simon Avenue near the county courthouse.

The application process will be done in alphabetical order starting with those whose last name ends with an A. The process continues through Dec. 14.

There will be another phase of the funds - the crisis portion - which begins Jan. 7.
