BROOKS - A house previously damaged by fire was completely destroyed by another fire Tuesday afternoon.

Zoneton Fire Maj. Randy Vincent said the house, located at the 300 block of Sparks Lane, was the same location that burned shortly after the February ice storm.

According to Vincent, the house remained vacant following the initial fire, with severe damage to the front area. He said the house no longer had electricity.

"This house was also loaded with a wide variety of stuff," Vincent said, including shotgun shells that exploded while firefighters controlled the burn.

Zoneton responded around 2:15 p.m. to the scene. Okolona Fire, Bullitt County Emergency Management and Bullitt County Sheriffs units also responded.

Vincent said the house was totally destroyed. Damage was contained to the house structure and a rear shed.

The cause of the fire was not yet determined. The sheriffs department is conducting an investigation.
