MOUNT WASHINGTON - This ValentineDay is going to be a historic event for many couples in Mount Washington.

Mount Washington’s Lloyd House Museum is currently under construction and in need of some serious repairs before it can be made available for public enjoyment.

In an effort to get things up and running for the community, the Mount Washington Historical Society in collaboration with the Kettle Creek Restaurant are hosting a fund raising luncheon.

It will be held at Kettle Creek on Sunday, Feb. 14, from 11am to 2pm.

The price of a good meal and your support to help save and restore a piece of Mount Washington’s history will be $12 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.

The lunch menu will include a choice of fried pork chops and fried or grilled chicken, two vegetable sides, plenty of rolls, a drink and dessert.

The public is invited to attend.

Kettle Creek is located on North Bardstown Road near Highland Memory Gardens.

The proceeds will help restore the museum on South Bardstown Road.
