SHEPHERDSVILLE - Last Friday turned out to be a good day for many in the Bullitt County hoops community as the Coaches’ Sixth Region awards were announced in the state’s largest newspaper.
Heading up the awards was Bullitt East head coach Chris Stallings who was named the Coach of the Year in the Sixth Region after leading his team to a 23-8 mark and a third-straight 24th District title. Stallings pulled together a team with only one returning starter and a group that lost top point guard Jessica Philpott late in the summer to a serious knee injury.
