It still seems a little bit strange to tackle back-to-school events two weeks before the State Fair begins.
Over the past couple weeks I’ve visited about 12 schools and maybe a thousand Bullitt County Public School students of all ages.
It’s early, yes, but a majority of students haven’t seemed to mind. They like school so it’s no big deal to get an early start.
There were, of course, a few of them who thought it was too early, and they didn’t mind telling me once they learned who I was.
