Successful Unite effort

 Congratulations to the Unite Bullitt County Committee for being a part of achieving the goal of  changing the redistricting lines.

We will now have two state representatives that will live and work in Bullitt County. We will share a senator with Nelson County and a small portion of Hardin County. That gives Bullitt County the majority of the voters and a chance to elect a senator from this county.

This gives us the opportunity to have a stronger voice in Frankfort, to improve our infrastructure and economic development.

Thanks for the hard work of David Strange and Scott Wantland for the trips to Frankfort and the committee for all the calls and letters to state leadership. A huge thank you to our current state representative, Linda Belcher that worked many hours and sat through many meetings to make sure we had the best plan. 

It is up to us now to make sure all of our elected officials work together in  bipartisan leadership to strengthen our position on a state level and be heard as one voice. Please listen to our candidates and be proud to make the choice to vote in the primaries and the election as your vote could make the difference in the initiative to unite Bullitt County.
