FRANKFORT -- The state Supreme Court has ruled that the conviction of a local woman in the shooting death of her husband in April 2008 was proper.
The four-member panel reversed a Court of Appeals decision and ruled on Thursday that Janice Hasch was guilty of reckless homicide in the death of her husband Jerald.
Originally charged with murder, the jury found Hasch guilty of the lesser charge of reckless homicide and sentenced her to two years in prison.
She appealed that verdict and has remained free on bond.
